Volunteer

JOIN THE WICKED WINERUN TEAM!

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time;
they just have the heart.

The meaning of life is to find your gift.
The purpose of life is to give it away.

There can’t be enough good things said about people who help others. As avid outdoor enthusiasts and athletes ourselves, we fully appreciate that there is no better feeling than to create a fun time and then support others to do it. If you, your charity or church is interested in being part of the team for the day, please click on the event link below that you’re interested in helping with and sign up.

Event day volunteers will receive snacks, endless high fives, a fun experience and if you’re over 21, you’ll also get a glass of wine at the end of your shift, all that, and the satisfaction of knowing you helped a lot of good people do something fun!

Thanks for considering to volunteer with us, if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out by using our online form.

Be a part of the Wicked Wine Run team for the day! We look forward to having you out with us!

Where do we need help?

Come meet the fun wine runners! We do our best to set up our packet pick ups on Friday for about a 4-6 hour span. At PPU we need people with great attitudes and big smiles. Volunteers to check ID’s, check in runners on ipads, hand out event goodie bags and high fives!

Be a part of the Wicked Wine Run production team! This takes place from 11am until 3pm the day before the event at the venue. Depending on what you’re comfortable with, you might be assisting with course set up, setting up aid stations, popping up tents and getting registration ready to go! There’s always plenty to do!

This is the first impression our wine runners will have of the event on the ground. Suit up in a classy neon safety vest, don your biggest smile and help direct cars to various parking lots in or around the venue.

Our aid stations are like an event in themselves! We encourage costumes and props if you have them! There is music/water at all the aid stations to hand out.

Wine is also at the wine stations along the 1k course.

This position is where you will assist keeping everyone on course.

Runners will be happy to see you here handing them water, high fives and finisher WINE! Woot woot!

Tear down is where it’s at! This is the time we all pitch in and take down the rest of the event and get it packed in! If you’re over 21, join us for a complimentary glass of wine after this shift, if you’re under 21 we’ll have water on hand as well.

As a Registration/Merchandising Volunteer, you’ll greet runners, handle check-ins, and sell awesome merch. Be part of the action and help kick off the event in style!

Charity

Jump on over to the contact us page and fill out the form telling us a little something about your charity! Be sure the form is filled out in its entirety. Our partner coordinator will reach out to you if there are any additional questions.

Wicked Wine Runs number one goal, as it relates to local charities, is to increase cause awareness. We want to help shine a light on important issues. We hope our runners will spend time on the website of our partner charities, join mailing lists, attend other events hosted by the charity and become an advocate for these causes. We give our charity partners a microphone to speak to thousands of good hearted people.

Each charity’s needs are a little different, and as a result each of our charity partners ask for our help in different ways. Here are a few ways Wicked Wine Run helps raise funds for our charity partners:

  1. Post Race Donation. We donate an amount that is determined in conjunction with the charity depending on the level of involvement/volunteers the charity provides.
  2. Embedded Giving. Our runners are given the option to add a donation directly to the charity during the registration process. Our charities are constantly overwhelmed by the kindness of our runners.
  3. Charity Registrations. In some cities, we provide the partner charity a limited number of charity registrations. The charity sells these registrations through their own website and keeps 100% of the proceeds.

Registration fees are not tax deductible. The only tax deductible portion would be if you made an additional donation during the registration process or bought the registration directly through the charity.
