And what better way to experience it all than to join the SKECHERS Wicked Wine Run and soak in the sights, sips, and good vibes right along the waterfront?

 

Hello Louisville Runners and Walkers!

Thanks for coming out this year, we’re stoked to have you! Please keep in mind that the parking lots along River Road is where you will park. Get there early as the parking lots are still open to the public.

Per the park permits, they do not allow any type of glassware at the park, so we’ve made adjustments and will provide a plastic wine glass with wine at the finish for you. You can use that glass for all wine purchases after the event too!

1K WALKERS: Per our park permits, all wine must be contained at the finish line. Because of this, we will not have the (3) 1 oz sample stations on the course. Instead we will give you a 4oz pour of wine at the finish line. This is the same amount of wine you would have received, just at the finish line instead.

Event Day Schedule

Saturday, August 22, 2026

9:30AM: Gates Open and Packet Pick up begins.
11:30AM: 5K Run/Walk starts! 90 minutes to complete.
1:30PM: 1K Tasting Walk begins
3:30PM: SKECHERS Wicked Wine Run event ends.

Packet Pickup Info

Specific details will be posted 2 weeks prior to the event.

Otherwise packet pick up is on race day only at the venue from the GATE open time until 1 hour before the 1k begins.

Please check back 2 weeks prior to your event of any changes.

What to bring:

Have your smile, QR code and ID ready!
You can pick up up packets for friends as long as you have a copy of their ID showing they are 21+

Lastly you can save time and skip the hassle! For just $20, have your race packet delivered straight to your door. You’ll be automatically checked in, so there’s no need to attend packet pickup.

Parking Information

Heads up! Parking at this venue may cost up to $20 CASH per vehicle. To keep things moving smoothly, please have cash ready for the parking attendants. 

What to Expect on Event Day

Once you arrive on site, head to the Check-In tents to get checked in and your shirt. Be sure to swing by our merch tent for some fun gear! If you pre-ordered anything, this is where you’ll pick it up too.

We’ve got music, games, food, and, of course, wine for purchase throughout the event, so feel free to kick back and enjoy! Most folks bring foldable chairs or blankets to chill on before and after the race.

For the 5k runners, you’ll line up in the start chute according to your pace, with waves starting every 2-3 minutes. Along the course, there will be two water stations to keep you hydrated, and at the finish line, you’ll hit another water station. But let’s be real, this is also where you will be handed finish line wine and finisher medal!

If you’re in for the 1k walk, enjoy the laid-back stroll. You’ll stop at three sampling stations, with the final sample waiting for you at the finish.

We also offer a separate spectator tasting-only ticket for those who prefer to take it easy and enjoy the festivities while waiting for their friends and family to finish. Simply come to the merch tent to buy your pass that includes an etched wine glass and bracelet that will then allow you to purchase wine at the event.

And don’t miss out on the dance and costume parties where you can win SKECHERS Wicked Wine Run swag or even a bottle of wine! So, get those costumes ready for some fun!

Bring a friend, put together a team, or fly solo to meet fellow wine enthusiasts as you sample wines from the vineyard. By participating, you’ll not only be treating yourself to a great time but also supporting our charity partners!
