General Questions
Is Wicked Wine Run competitive?
This event isn’t about speed, it’s all about having fun and enjoying some delicious wine along the way. Whether you run, jog, walk, or even twirl, you’ll have a great time on our non-competitive 5k course. And hey, if you’re really into timing yourself, go for it! But don’t worry about being the fastest one out there, because at Wicked Wine Run, the only competition we care about is who has the most creative costume. So come join us, sip some wine, and enjoy a leisurely run. Just remember, you have 90 minutes to complete the course, so hurry back for the post event party!
Are spectators welcome to come out for the fun?
Absolutely! All the Fun,without the Run!
As a spectator at Wicked Wine Run, 21+ can purchase wine tasting tickets for $10 online or on-site, which include an over 21 wristband and a an etched Wine wineglass. Wine is available for purchase through the vineyard, so don’t forget your ID! Even if you’re not running, there’s still plenty of fun to be had with food, drinks, and festivities.
Please note: This gives spectators all access to the festivities at the afterparty but does not give spectators access to be on the course at any time.
See you there!
Why are children or toddlers not permitted?
Sadly kids even if they are with other adults or in strollers are not allowed at the events. Due to the nature of our events, having alcohol present and being sold, our permits and for liability purposes we do require that all participants and spectators must be over 21.
Please be sure you have childcare lined up before registering for the event.
Why Are Guests Under 21 Not Permitted at the Event?
To ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all attendees, this event is strictly for adults aged 21 and over. Since wine will be served, allowing minors could lead to legal issues regarding alcohol consumption. Even with supervision, the presence of alcohol increases the risk of accidental exposure or underage drinking, which we take very seriously.
Additionally, the event is designed with adult experiences in mind, and certain activities or themes may not be appropriate for younger attendees.
Why Are Pets Not Permitted at the Event?
While we love pets, they are not permitted at our events to ensure the safety of your pet, participants and the land. This includes dogs, turtles, birds, and even our beloved honey badgers. Vineyards contain a variety of hazards that can pose dangers to pets, such as ingesting toxic plants, encountering wildlife, or getting overheated in the open fields.
Pets can also unintentionally harm the vineyard itself by disturbing the vines, damaging the delicate soil. To preserve the natural beauty and functionality of the vineyard, we kindly ask that pets remain at home.

I signed up, but can’t make the race anymore. What are my options?
We understand that life happens and sometimes you may not be able to make it to the event after signing up. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds as the expenses for producing the event are incurred well in advance. However, you do have the option to transfer your registration to a friend or family member, or to another event, up to 15 days before the event. If transferring is not possible, we would still love to see you at packet pick-up to say hi and to give you your goodies. What if it rains or is too hot for me to participate?
If the weather is safe, the event will proceed as planned. However, in the event of heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, or excessive heat we will notify you via email and social media channels about any delays or cancellations. Please note that we do not offer refunds due to adverse weather, as stated in the waiver. If the organizers and/or Venue/City Officials determine that the weather or other unforeseeable conditions may pose a potential hazard to participants, volunteers, and staff, they reserve the right to postpone the start time or cancel the event. This decision may be made before or during the event, such conditions fall under the label “Acts of God,” and will not result in refunding of any race entry fees or future event credits.

RACE DAY QUESTIONS
What time should I show up?
The event schedule is available on each event page, indicating the packet pick up day and time along with other event day schedules. Please refer to your event page for specific details.
Where is the event parking?
For parking information, please check your event page as it varies by venue. Typically, parking is available at the venue or an adjacent property for $20 per vehicle. Follow the parking signage and parking company for our designated no-tow areas. Some venues we will need to park off site and shuttle you to the venue, so please check your event page for specific details.
What should I bring?
Besides your positive attitude and a smile, we suggest bringing your ID, a designated driver, cash or card for parking, wine, food, and merchandise purchases. Don’t forget to dress up in costume if you want to! Additionally, consider bringing a blanket or pop-up chairs for post-race basking. We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, and something to keep your valuables safe while running.
What should I NOT bring?
Thank you for asking! Please note that children under 21, outside alcohol, food, tables, coolers, tents, and pets are not allowed on the event grounds. We will have wine and food trucks available for you to enjoy!
Can I wear my headphones and listen to my super rad race playlist?
We know it’s cool to listen to music when working out, that’s why we have music along the course to keep you going. But if you have your own jammin’ playlist please only wear one earphone so you can still hear course marshals and fellow runners.
Is the course marked?
Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! We use a mix of course signs, race tape and helpful volunteers to guide you through the course.
Is there a lost and found?
Oh no, did you lose something? No worries, we’ve got a lost & found! Anything found on event day will be brought to the merchandise tents. If you don’t pick up your lost item on race day, just shoot us an email at support@wickedwinerun.com to check if it was turned in. However, the runner will be required to pay postage before we mail it back. If you don’t claim it within 15 days, we’ll donate it to Goodwill (someone else’s treasure, right?).
